Scientific knowledge to protect and preserve the marine environment.

Marine environment

Environmental quality studies and environmental impact assessment of the marine environment.

Environmental quality studies

At Geomytsa we carry out environmental quality studies aimed at assessing the state of the marine environment and detecting possible alterations in its natural conditions.

Using multiparameter probes we measure different physico-chemical variables throughout the water column, complemented by sampling campaigns at different depths.

The samples obtained are analysed in our laboratory, which makes it possible to integrate field and laboratory results and provide an assessment of the environmental conditions of the study area.

Environmental impact assessment studies

Environmental impact assessment is a fundamental tool to identify, prevent and minimise the possible effects of human activities on the marine environment.

At Geomytsa we contribute our technical and scientific experience to the study of the possible environmental consequences associated with projects and interventions in the marine environment.

Our work makes it possible to identify potential impacts, provide information for decision-making and contribute to the design of preventive, corrective and monitoring measures, favouring the development of marine activities compatible with environmental protection.
